PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Welcome back to all who have been away. I hope your summer was relaxing and enjoyable. As we prepare for a New Year (5769), we must ponder what lay ahead. We will be asking G-d to once again forgive our transgressions and grant us a year of good health, happiness and prosperity.
Kol Israel Congregation and Center has a long and distinguished history. It is the spiritual home of many of our original founding families as well as many new members. We are a vibrant group of the Jewish Sephardic Community. We have an active membership and the potential for even more development.
It is an honor and privilege to work with all our various committees. The Religious Services, Adult Education, Ladies Committee and Youth Groups offer comprehensive and varied programs for the needs of the entire congregation. I invite you to help us as we plan many of the upcoming events. I hope that by working together, we can help you reach all the personal and religious goals that our synagogue can provide. As you know, we have plans to expand our building. Our expansion committee remains dedicated to making sure that our expansion project is moving forward and in the right direction. Our members have always responded enthusiastically and generously to our request for financial support. We need this to continue in order for us to succeed. During the coming year, I encourage you to meet our members, our Rabbis, and our teachers. Come and enjoy our daily and weekly services. Join our numerous classes and programs. We have a lot to offer and I am sure you will be as hooked as I am!! At the heart and soul of Kol Israel is our esteemed Rabbi Raymond Harari. His energy, depth of Torah knowledge and spiritual leadership are truly inspiring. May he continue to lead us to new heights. Happy and Healthy New Year. Eli Matalon
